Talaat Sadat (born 1954) is a former Egyptian politician and current political prisoner. He is the nephew of former Egyptian president Anwar Sadat. Talaat was arrested on 4 October 2006 after giving an interview in which he implicated Egyptian military forces in his uncles' 1981 assasination. His trial by military authorities ended on 31 October with a conviction for defaming the Egyptian armed forces. His arrest and conviction have been criticized by both Egyptian human rights groups and the United States State Department.
