Hi,
Hi,
Your recent rollback of an edit on [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Brothers_in_Arms:_Hell%27s_Highway&oldid=244033904 Brothers in Arms: Hells Highway] was not necessary, as the prior edit had actually fixed the main character's last name "Baker" by capitalizing it. Reverting this edit only put the grammarical error back in. I put it back as it should be. Thanks! [[User:The27thmaine|The27thmaine]] ([[User talk:The27thmaine|talk]]) 03:04, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

Toronto Blue Jays managers

I've got a supporting reference for Cookie Rojas' managing. Baseball-Reference is missing it, but Retrosheet corroborates the Blue Jays website. KV5Squawk boxFight on! 22:11, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

List of Toronto Maple Leafs head coaches

Hi KA24, do you still oppose the promotion of this list? I think Scorpion may be away for while so if you can point me to what needs to be fixed, if anything, that'd be great. The Rambling Man (talk) 07:51, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

I'm done, I think. Thanks for correcting my "correction" and supporting the list. If you'd be kind enough to just double-check my modifications, that'd be fantastic. Cheers. The Rambling Man (talk) 09:46, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
No problemo. I can see when effort has gone into making a list up-to-scratch and I could see it would be a shame to fail this one, especially with Scorpion not being around. Thanks for your constructive criticism, keep up the good work! The Rambling Man (talk) 09:51, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
I don't know. He let me know (see his post on my talk page) so it seems like a scheduled break, nothing to be too concerned about. The Rambling Man (talk) 10:01, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

FLC reviews

Hey KA24, now that you've started reviewing FLCs, you might want to think about making yourself a review box (one of those slide-down tabs to hide resolved comments). If you'd like me to make you one, just drop a note on my talk. I can use the colors from your sig if you'd like, and I can deliver it in your sandbox if you've got one; that way, you can just copy the code whenever you need it. Let me know! KV5Squawk boxFight on! 12:30, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

Would you mind hiding and/or striking your comments that I have resolved or responded to on the Phillies managers FLC? Thanks. KV5Squawk boxFight on! 02:49, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
Many thanks! Kudos for the support! KV5Squawk boxFight on! 02:57, 18 August 2008 (UTC)

Hey, sorry for jumping on your reponse to the nomination. Hadn't realized that there was a requirement that nominations come from major contributors, so it was an honest mistake, given that the major changes were collapsed into just a couple changes. Los Angeles Lakers Roster

23 was Dwayne Mitchells NBA Summer League number, his official jersey number for the Los Angeles Lakers has yet to be revealed since his signing. Also, there cannot be more than 15 persons on an official NBA roster, I added the "unsigned" section to avoid confusion of the rule. —Preceding unsigned comment added by User1337 (talkcontribs) 03:38, 15 August 2008 (UTC)

Peer review limits

The guidelines for Wikipedia:Peer review ask that editors nominate no more than one article per day (and four total at any one time). While the rules say that one of the requests can be removed, I will let it slide since this is the first time. Take care, Ruhrfisch ><>°° 02:09, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

The vs. are for series the Yankees won, while the tos are for series they lost. This is the way it's done on Philadelphia Phillies seasons and St. Louis Cardinals seasons, the two featured lists the table is modeled after. If you think it should be changed, reply back with a recommendation. It may take some time for me to respond, because I'm getting a new computer installed later. :-) Giants2008 (17-14) 22:23, 30 August 2008 (UTC)

Now I see what you're doing. To see someone who has so many featured lists to their credit use something I worked on as a model is a great honor to me. Best of luck! Giants2008 (17-14) 00:17, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:V2010m.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:V2010m.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 09:38, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

Motto of the day

Hello, I notice you're using one of the {{motd}} templates, run by Wikipedia:Motto of the day. You may have noticed that some of the mottos recently have been followed by a date from 2006, or on occasion simply "Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia". The reason for this is that Motto of the day is in some very serious need of help. Participation in the project, which has never been especially high, has dropped considerably over this past summer, to the point we have had several days where no motto was scheduled to appear at all. Over the past several weeks, I've been the only editor scheduling mottos at all, but there aren't enough comments on some of these mottos to justify their use. If we do not get some help - and soon - your daily mottos will stop. In order for us to continue updating these templates for you, we need your help.

When you get a chance between your normal editing, could you stop by our nominations page and leave a few comments on some of the mottos there, especially those that do not have any comments yet? This works very simply; you read a motto, decide whether or not you like it, and post your opinion just below the motto. That's it - no experience required, just an idea of what you personally like and what you feel reflects Wikipedia and its community. If you do have past experience with the project, then please close some of the older nominations once they've got a decent consensus going. There are directions on the nominations page on how to do this.

If you have any questions, please let me know, or post on the project's talk page. I'm looking forward to reading your comments on the suggested mottos, and any additional suggestions you'd like to make. Until then, happy editing! Hersfold (t/a/c) 02:52, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

Just want to let you know, I would like to co-nom the above article with you since I have put some work in it. Cheers —Chris! ct 05:32, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

Featured content userboxes

I was tempted to revert your edits to {{User Featured lists}} and {{User Featured articles}}. You should have discussed your changes first, and as far as I can see, you haven't done that for the former template, and the latter I'm unsure. You've changed the wording to nominated, but just because it was nominated doesn't mean the nomination was successful, and therefore could make users add it to their userpage if they've nominated a list/article but the nom failed, and it will therefore cause incorrect categorisation. I suggest you revert yourself. Qst (talk) 10:51, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

North Carolina Basketball Seasons - FL?

Would you be interested in helping me get North Carolina Tar Heels men's basketball seasons up to FL status. I have done a lot of work on it and think it is pretty much there, but any help you could give would be appreciated (since it seems you do this a lot). Also, by getting this up to FL status, it will be the first college basketball season FL article and so could act as a template for all other college basketball season articles. Let me know what you think. Remember (talk) 17:41, 8 September 2008 (UTC) (p.s. Please reply on my talk page)

You mentioned in this FLC some sort of key/picture problem. What exactly is it? (Just wondering.)   jj137 (talk) 21:59, 8 September 2008 (UTC)

Re: Luongo

The "unofficial" notation is not refuting the fact that he was named captain, he's just not officially recognized by the league as such, and I think that should be reflected here, because he's not wearing the C in the traditional sense. IrisKawling (talk) 03:31, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

FAR withdrawn

I've withdrawn Wikipedia:Featured article review/Something/archive1; please read the instructions, and do not re-nominate this at FAR for at least four days. Also, it is not really in good faith to nominate an article for a couple of citation tags; that can be raised on the talk page. If issues aren't resolved within four days after mainpage, then you can re-nominate. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 06:31, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

A new FL contest

Wikipedia's epic FL directors Matthewedwards and Scorpion0422 have decided to try another FL contest as a follow up to the one held last June. As you are a regular at WP:FLC, you may be interested in taking a look at the new one, which will have different rules. Although they are still being fiddled with, three FLs in different topics will be required this time around. For more information, see here. A start date has not yet been determined, but it will likely begin some time next week. Thanks for the time, Scorpion0422 22:11, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

Probably some time next week as I want to give people some time to join and think about things this time around. My current date is Friday October 10, which is the earliest that you will be able to submit FLCs for the contest. I will probably allow you to choose your topics and lists starting tomorrow. -- Scorpion0422 03:16, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
By the way, you can start choosing your topics and lists now. -- Scorpion0422 03:41, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
Just so you know, I have decided to not approve your List of Canadian provinces and territories in order of entering Confederation because there is a Provinces and territories of Canada list that already contains this data. -- Scorpion0422 20:56, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
I would prefer if you didn't because that would make the list less useful. If you need a suggestion, why not List of premiers of British Columbia? There are several premier FLs that you could model it after. -- Scorpion0422 02:19, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, if he wants to do a co-nom, that should be fine, as long as you do a lot of the work. -- Scorpion0422 15:15, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

What didn't you like in my inserting an itemization list instead of an unstructured piece of text? What was your reason of reverting my changes?

07:37, 3 October 2008 (UTC) 83.149.198.76

And who are you to decide what contributes and what not? Are you an expert in semantic similarity?

Please also use edit summaries when doing reversions on articles, and don't be too WP:BITEy :-) BMW(drive) 12:58, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

I see what you mean about the text in the former article just duplicating the individual station articles. Your clean-up eliminated that unnecessary duplication, and made the article what it should be: a list and not, as the saying goes, a list "trying to do more". It was a good change, but the DYK rules do not accommodate such improvements, probably because it would be too difficult and subjective to judge those rewrites. In any event your work was good. FA Template

I'm not certain I agree as the template without a number does not indicate that only one FA article was created. However, I won't revert your edit. -Classicfilms (talk) 03:03, 6 October 2008 (UTC)

Non-vandalism rollback

I am curious as to the reason for this rollback. Normally our site policy pages do not use sample tables and images at the top.

As you know, rollback rights are to be used exclusively for undoing vandalism. I am concerned that some of your rollbacks have been borderline, and might be better handled with incorporating valid material into the article and educating the user in proper editing.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks. Kylu (talk) 00:50, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
