Will Ryder (born Jeff Mullen; July 31, 1960) is an American pornographic film director, producer, screenwriter, publicist, camera operator, and composer.[1][2][3][4]

Early life[edit]

Ryder was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and he is of English and Finnish descent.[2] He worked as a keyboardist in the music industry for fifteen years.[5]

Career[edit]

In 1983, Ryder befriended pornographic actress Amber Lynn while he was seeking employment in the adult film industry as a composer for pornographic films.[3] Lynn introduced him to other people in the business and director Roy Karch was the first to hire him.[3] He left the industry before returning in 2001 as a publicist for New Sensations/Digital Sin.[4] In 2001, he launched the PR firm All Media Play.[4] In 2004, he launched his own production label, X-Play, and made his directorial debut with the film Britney Rears Wild Back Stage Sex Party.[4]

Note
  1. ^ Certain award groups do not simply award one winner. They recognize several different recipients, have runners-up, and have third place. Since this is a specific recognition and is different from losing an award, runner-up mentions are considered wins in this award tally. For simplification and to avoid errors, each award in this list has been presumed to have had a prior nomination.
