Was born in Israel in 1962. Graduated the Hebrew University in Jerusalem in History of the Middle East and Arabic (1983 with honors) and the Faculy of Law LLB (1991). Served as an officer in the IDF and worked as a lawyer in Tel Aviv. In 1994 joined the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has served for over ten years in diplomatic posts in Berlin, Bonn, Belgrade, and Warsaw.


Published four books: 'Garden of the dead trees' (1995), 'Four sons' (1998), 'Auntie Farhuma wasn't a whore after all' (2002) and 'A man without shadow' (2007). Received the Prime Minister Prize for Literature (2007).
