Ángel Martínez Cervera (born January 19, 1986 in Girona ) is a Spanish football player who plays for Millwall FC in the English Football League Championship .

Player career

Like half the Espanyol Barcelona team, Ángel Martínez previously played for the Catalans' second team. There he was able to convince Espanyol coach Ernesto Valverde as a fast, goal-scoring midfielder , who brought him into the first team. After his promotion in 2006, however, he could not earn a regular place and was loaned to Rayo Vallecano in 2009 .

In 2010 he moved to his home club, the Spanish second division club FC Girona, and played 36 league games for his new club.

On July 25, 2011, Ángel Martínez signed a two-year contract with English second division club Blackpool .
