Angela de la Cruz
Angela de la Cruz (born January 30, 1846 in Seville , Spain ; † March 2, 1932 ibid) was a Spanish religious founder and is venerated as a saint in the Catholic Church .
Life
María de los Ángeles Guerrero Gonzalez, who had previously worked in a shoe manufacturing workshop for 17 years, founded the "Sisters of the Society of the Holy Cross" in 1875 and took the religious name Ángela de la Cruz. Today the Order has 700 members working in Spain, France and Argentina.
Ángela de la Cruz was Pope John Paul II. On November 5, 1982 beatified and on May 4, 2003 canonized . Her feast day in the liturgy is May 5th .
