Ángeles González-Sinde (2009)

Ángeles González-Sinde (* 1965 in Madrid ) is a Spanish film and commercial director and screenwriter. From April 2009 to December 2011 she was the Spanish Minister of Culture in the Zapatero cabinet .

Life

González-Sinde studied Classical Classics at Complutense University in Madrid and completed a Masters in Screenwriting from the American Film Institute in Los Angeles . In 2006 she was appointed chairman of the Spanish Academy of Cinematographic Art and Studies ( Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Cinematográficas de España , AACCE), founded by her father, José María González-Sinde.

On April 7, 2009, the Spanish Prime Minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero announced her appointment as Minister of Culture during a cabinet reshuffle.
