Äleklinta
Äleklinta is a village belonging to the municipality of Borgholm on the Swedish island of Öland in the Baltic Sea .
The place with fewer than 50 inhabitants (as of 2005) is located directly on Kalmarsund on the west coast of the island, north of Köpingsvik . The coast rises here as a cliff above the water and has clear limestone layers in places .
The picturesque location of the scattered settlement on the slopes of the fishing village Äleklinta and the swimming facilities on the beach make the place a holiday destination.
In the immediate vicinity of the village are four of the typical Öland windmills .
