Anderson Soares de Oliveira , called "Bamba" Anderson (born January 10, 1988 in São Gonçalo ), is a former Brazilian soccer player who was last under contract with Eintracht Frankfurt .

Career

Bamba Anderson comes from a middle-class family from São Gonçalo near Rio de Janeiro and played in Brazil for FC Tombense and Flamengo Rio de Janeiro .

Loan to Osnabrück

Anderson was discovered by a Bayer 04 Leverkusen scout in summer 2008 . When a planned move to Real Sociedad San Sebastián failed, Leverkusen secured a purchase option for the young defender, which was initially awarded by Tombense to VfL Osnabrück . On August 22, 2008 he made his second division debut there when he was in the starting line-up against SC Freiburg .

Tombense

At the end of the season Bamba Anderson returned to Brazil to his home club Tombense.

Fortuna Dusseldorf

In the 2009/10 season Bamba Anderson came back to Germany and signed another "loan deal" with the second division Fortuna Düsseldorf . There he was voted the best central defender in the league by Kicker Sportmagazin in the second half of the season, after he had already occupied third place in this ranking in the first half of the season.

Borussia Monchengladbach

For the 2010/11 season Bamba Anderson joined Borussia Mönchengladbach , where he got a four-year contract until 2014. The transfer fee that Mönchengladbach transferred to FC Tombense was around 1.5 million euros. At the end of July 2011, Anderson was signed on for a year on loan from Eintracht Frankfurt . Anderson initially returned to Mönchengladbach for the 2012/13 season.

Permanent move to Frankfurt

On August 2, 2012, the central defender finally switched to Eintracht, where he received a three-year contract with a term until June 30, 2015, which was extended for a further three years in January 2015. After he was no longer available after knee surgery in 2015, he terminated the contract at the end of April 2017.
