Åsa Nilsonne (born January 25, 1949 ) is a Swedish psychiatrist and writer .

life and work

As the daughter of a diplomat, Åsa Nilsonne spent most of her childhood abroad. She studied medicine and worked as a doctor, researcher and psychiatrist at St. Göran's Hospital in Stockholm . She has published various specialist books on her field of activity.

In addition to her work, she published a total of five detective novels with the insecure but ambitious Stockholm policewoman Monika Pedersen from 1991, which have also been published in German translation, and three other novels. In 2000 she received the Poloni Prize for Kyskhetsbältet (German rivals . Goldmann, Munich 2002)

Åsa Nilsonne is married and has three sons.
