Åsted Kirke

The Åsted Kirke is the Church of Åsted-parish in Frederikshavn Provsti in the Diocese of Aalborg . It belongs to the Evangelical Lutheran People's Church in Denmark .

The church was built from bricks on a granite base at the beginning of the 13th century. With its white color with the red roof and the stepped gables , it is one of the largest of these typical Danish country churches. It is also one of the oldest churches in Frederikshavn .

The interior of the church is decorated with frescoes . The font dates from the 13th, the altar from the 17th and the pulpit from the 19th century.
