Tschäk-Tschäk

Tschäk-Tschäk ( Russian Чак-чак, Tatar чәк-чәк, Bashkir сәк-сәк) is a dessert that is widespread in the kitchens of various Turkic peoples , especially the Tatar and Bashkir cuisine. Tschäk-Tschäk is made from a soft dough made from wheat flour and raw eggs, which are formed into short, thin sticks. These are deep-fried and then poured over with a hot mass based on honey . Tschäk-Tschäk is served as a dessert with coffee or tea or generally as a tea side dish.

Tschak Tschak is also known in other parts of Russia and in other CIS countries and is therefore also available in Germany in Eastern European specialty markets.
