Émile Delahaye (born October 16, 1843 in Tours ; † June 1, 1905 ) was a French entrepreneur, automobile pioneer and founder of the Delahaye car brand .

He studied at the Arts et Métiers engineering school in Angers between 1859 and 1863, the same school where Louis Delâge , another automobile pioneer , would later study. After Émile Delahaye opened a small car repair shop in his home town of Tours in 1890, he was already producing his own automobiles with two- and four-cylinder engines from 1894. Later, commercial vehicles (especially fire engines) were increasingly manufactured.
