Éric Vogel (born August 12, 1970 in Strasbourg ) is a former French football player on the position of a striker .

Career

Éric Vogel began his active career as a football player in 1980 with Racing Strasbourg and was first used in 1988 for the club's B team, where he spent almost his entire career. He made his first game for the professional team of Strasbourg on September 30, 1989, when he came on in the second division match against FC Istres in the 87th minute for Eric Géraldes . It was his only use in the 1989/90 season; Vogel was denied a regular place. In 1992 he was able to move up to Division 1 with the team . In July 1994, Vogel was awarded to the second division club OFC Charleville , where he was able to collect a little professional game practice for the first time after only sporadic short appearances in the professional field at Racing Strasbourg. Vogel made his last game as a professional on August 21, 1997 when he was in the starting eleven in the 2-1 defeat against FC Nantes . After the end of the season, he ended his professional career. In the 1998/99 season he was still working for the Strasbourg suburban club SC Schiltigheim . For the B-team Racing Strasbourg he mostly acted as a striker and scored 51 goals in 201 league games. In addition, he had nine goalless professional league appearances for Strasbourg and 18 league appearances and three goals for Charleville.
