Étienne Lauréault de Foncemagne
Étienne Lauréault de Foncemagne (born May 8, 1694 in Orléans , † September 26, 1779 in Paris ) was a French scholar.
Life
In 1722 he was elected to the Académie des Inscriptions et Belles-Lettres and in 1736 to the Académie française (Fauteuil 14).
He became famous through the dispute with Voltaire over the will politique du cardinal de Richelieu , the authenticity of which he proved.
