The Île Fourier , also known as Fourier Island , is a small and rocky island off the coast of the East Antarctic Adélieland . It is located 1.2 km east-northeast of Cape Mousse . They separate 90 m from the mainland.
Participants in a French Antarctic expedition that lasted from 1950 to 1951 named the island after the French mathematician and physicist Joseph Fourier (1768-1830).
