The Île Pascal , also known as Pascal Island , is a small and rocky island off the coast of the East Antarctic Adélieland . It is located 300 m east-southeast of the Île Descartes and 1.5 km northeast of Cape Mousse .
Participants in a French Antarctic expedition that lasted from 1950 to 1951 mapped the island and named it after the French mathematician and philosopher Blaise Pascal (1623–1662).
