The Île Roméo ( French ) is a small island in the southwestern foothills of the Géologie archipelago off the coast of the East Antarctic Adélieland . It is located in the immediate vicinity of the Île Juliette .
French scholars named her in 1977 after the main male character in the tragedy Romeo and Juliet by the English playwright William Shakespeare .
