The island of Île Rouleau with a diameter of 1 km is located at the southern end of Lac Mistassini in the administrative region of North du Québec in the Canadian province of Québec .
The island forms the central mountain of an impact crater . The diameter of the crater is about 4 km. The age of the meteorite impact is estimated to be less than 300 million years and is therefore in the Permian Age.
