The Île du Claquebue , also known as Claquebue Island , is a rocky and 400 m long island off the coast of the East Antarctic Adélieland . It is located 90 m east of the Dru Rock in the group of the Curzon Islands .
Participants in a French Antarctic expedition that lasted from 1949 to 1951 made a map and named the island. It is named after a fictional village from the 1933 novel La jument verte (German: The green mare ) by the French writer Marcel Aymé (1902–1967), which was part of the reading of the expedition members.
