The Île des Dauphins , also known as Dauphin Island , is a rocky and 240 m long island with a few small peaks at the northern and southern ends off the coast of the East Antarctic Adélieland . In the group of Curzon Islands , it lies between the Île de Claquebue and the Île du Chameau .
Participants in a French Antarctic expedition that lasted from 1949 to 1951 made a map and named the island after the Dauphiné , home of expedition member Paul Perroud.
