The Îles des Rescapés (meaning islands of the survivors , also known as Rescapé Islands ) are a small group of rocky islands off the coast of the East Antarctic Adélieland . They are located 800 m northwest of Cape Margerie .
Participants in a French Antarctic expedition (1949–1951) led by André-Franck Liotard (1905–1982) surveyed the archipelago. They are named after an incident in nearby Port Martin when a dinghy was driven off by strong winds during disembarkation.
