The Îlot Zeus ( French ) is a rocky island in the Géologie archipelago off the coast of the East Antarctic Adélieland . It is located northeast of the Pétrel Island at the northern end of the Chenal Buffon .
French scientists named it in 1977 based on the names of the Îlot Castor and the Îlot Pollux . It is named after Zeus , the father of gods from Greek mythology .
