Óscar Andrade

Óscar Andrade (born August 28, 1957 in Santiago de Chile ) is a Chilean Canto writer .

Live and act

Andrade began his musical career in a nightclub, where he sang songs by Simon & Garfunkel , Billy Joel and Neil Diamond . In the television program Chilenazo he appeared with his own composition, Reencarnación . His first major success was with Noticiero crónico : he was elected to the international jury of the Festival de Viña del Mar 1982 and received a scholarship to continue his musical education in Europe. After the album Tiempo (1981), his second album Vida was released in 1983 with songs based on texts by Violeta Parra and Patricio Manns and social satirical pieces such as Pan y circo and Los flacos cósmicos .

Andrade lived in Germany from 1990 to 2003. He studied classical singing with a focus on jazz rock at the Liszt School of Music Weimar , performed at various festivals and on television and recorded his third album Desde la luz . After returning to Chile, he founded his own production company, Estados Esenciales . With Ego TV he received second place in the 2005 Rojo VIP television competition .
