The BBÖ ET 30 series was an electrically powered baggage car from the BBÖ .

Due to the economic crisis of the 1930s, passenger traffic fell so noticeably that the BBÖ wanted to run it as efficiently as possible. For this purpose, she ordered two electric luggage railcars that were to allow one-man operation. By reusing electrical components of the 1170 and 1170.2 series , the costs could be kept low. It is worth mentioning that the frame and bogies were fully welded for the first time.

Both vehicles were delivered in 1936 and stationed in Bludenz . They proved themselves right from the start without any problems. The staff appreciated the ease of use and the smooth running of the railcars.

In 1938 the Deutsche Reichsbahn classified it as the ET 94 and used it on the Pressburgerbahn . After the Second World War , they returned to Bludenz as ÖBB 4060 .

The 4060.01 was so badly damaged in an accident in 1966 that it had to be retired. The 4060.02 bought the Montafonerbahn in 1971 and used it - in its typical red and yellow paintwork - as the ET 10.106 . Until 1971 the 4060.02 ran again on the former Pressburger Bahn from Wien-Landstrasse to Wolfsthal.

In the course of time, the Montafonerbahn also got multiple controls, two former Swiss diesel multiple units were acquired and these were designated as ES 10.203 and ES 10.204. Initially, the railcar was primarily used for freight transport, after the ÖBB 1045 was purchased , it took over freight transport. Until May 1990, the railcar was used as planned on the Montafonerbahn. From February to the end of March 1991 he drove the “Vorarlberg ski train” from Lochau-Hörbranz to Schruns at the weekend . In 1994 the ET 10.106 with the two control cars, which were scrapped by 2006, was sold to the Strasshof Railway Museum .
