The series 5147 is a diesel multiple unit series of the ÖBB and the Raaberbahn (GySEV).

The railcars of the series 5147 correspond technically to the railcars of the series 5047 , but each unit has only one driver's cab. At the other end of the vehicle there is a passenger crossing to which another railcar is permanently coupled. This is why one speaks of a double multiple unit , even if each vehicle has its own number.

Five such double units were delivered to ÖBB from 1992 onwards, and one more to GySEV. The ÖBB vehicles were used on the routes around Wiener Neustadt, mainly on the Leobersdorfer Bahn and the Mattersburger Bahn , and on the Marchegger Ostbahn . Occasionally they even came to Sigmundsherberg or Marchegg. In mid-2012, all five ÖBB double units were sold to GySEV and received the following numbers:

  • 1446 517 ex ÖBB 5147 001
  • 2446 517 ex ÖBB 5147 002
