Public building

The public works includes all construction work on buildings that serve public purposes or predominantly state to exercise and municipal functions are required. Viewed in a more differentiated way, a distinction can be made between public building construction (e.g. schools and hospitals) and public civil engineering (e.g. roads and sewers). Together with residential and commercial construction, public construction forms the construction volume of the construction industry .

  • Federal government, states, municipalities, social insurance and special-purpose associations, whose funds come mainly from public taxes.
