Zeki Önder Özen (born October 17, 1969 in Eskişehir ) is a former Turkish soccer goalkeeper and current coach.
Player career
Özen's footballing career is only partially known. So he played u. a. in the 1990s for the clubs Ayaşspor and Dikmenspor.
As a coaching career
Özen started his coaching career in 2001 as a youth coach for the third division team in his hometown, Eskispor . From the summer of 2003, he coached the reserve team of Fenerbahçe Istanbul, then known as the PAF team . After two years as PAF head coach, he became assistant coach in summer 2005 and assisted the head coaches Oğuz Çetin , Christoph Daum , Zico and Luis Aragonés for four years .
In 2009 he left Fenerbahçe after six years and looked after his first club in the role of head coach with Hacettepe SK . After one season he moved in this role to city rivals Bugsaş Spor .
In the summer of 2013 he was introduced to Beşiktaş Istanbul as the new manager and sporting director of the football department. He resigned from this position in July 2014.
In mid-April 2015 he was hired as the new head coach of the first division club Kasımpaşa Istanbul and succeeded the dismissed Jan Wouters . At the end of June 2015, Özen left Kasımpaşa prematurely by mutual agreement. In the eight league games in which he had looked after the team in the 2014/15 season, he had two wins, two draws and four defeats. At the end of the 2014/15 season, Özen had presented the club management with a report in which he demanded the sale of 17 players.
