Austrian handball championship (women) 2009/10

The 39th season of the Austrian women's handball championship began on September 12, 2009 and ended with the second final game for the Austrian championship on May 12, 2010. The reigning champion was Hypo Niederösterreich .

In the top division, the WHA, 12 teams were represented. The championship was divided into two phases. In the main round, eleven teams played a simple round trip against each opponent. The winner of the regular season then played the final games against the reigning champions Hypo Niederösterreich.

Hypo Niederösterreich was handball champions for the 34th time in a row. The cup final was also an "internal" matter: Hypo Niederösterreich won against Hypo Niederösterreich 2 36:22.
