Women Handball Austria (WHA) is the highest women's handball league in Austria . For men it is called spusu LIGA . It is organized by the Austrian Handball Federation.

Currently (2018/19 season) 12 teams are represented in the WHA. In the basic round, all teams play a simple round-trip round against every opponent. After that, the first and second placed players in the WHA final will play for the championship title in two games in the European Cup mode.

In the parallel competition of the "Under 18" teams (WHA U18) only the basic round is played.
