Oh Seong-ok (born October 10, 1972 in Daejeon , South Korea ) is a South Korean handball trainer and former handball player .
Oh Seong-ok initially played in her home country at Korean Sport University and HC Chong Kun Dang before moving to the Japanese club Hiroshima Club, with which she won six championships. Since 2006 she has been playing for the Austrian top club Hypo Niederösterreich , with which she won the championship and the cup in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. With Hypo she was in the final of the EHF Champions League in 2008 , but failed there because of Zvezda Zvenigorod . In the same year, the back court player was voted Austria's “Handball Woman of the Year 2007/08”. In the 2009/10 season she worked as a player-coach at Hypo Niederösterreich. In the summer of 2010, she returned to South Korea to train as a trainer.
Internationally, Oh Seong-ok played over 260 games for the South Korean national team . With South Korea she won the 1995 World Cup . The right-hander won the gold medal at the Olympic Games in 1992, the silver medal in 1996 and 2004 and the bronze medal in 2008 . In 2008 she was elected to the Olympic Games All-Star Team.
Oh Seong-ok now trains the South Korean U18 national team.
