Olav Nilsen Økern (born June 3, 1911 in Hole ; † April 11, 2000 there ) was a Norwegian cross-country skier .

Økern, who started for the Bærums ski club, won the silver medal with the relay at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in 1938 . He also achieved 61st place over 18 km there. In 1940 he won the Holmenkollen Ski Festival over 18 km and took eighth place over 50 km. At the 1948 Winter Olympics in St. Moritz , he won the bronze medal with the relay and came 13th in the 18 km run. In 1950 he received the Holmenkollen Medal . At the Olympic Winter Games in Oslo in 1952 , he was fourth over 50 km. In the same year he came in third place over 30 km and second place over 50 km at the Norwegian championships .
