Øssur Mohr

Øssur Mohr (* 1961 in Fuglafjørður ) is a contemporary Faroese painter .

Øssur Mohr has exhibited his works since 1991 and is known for his abstract Faroese landscape paintings in bold colors and broad brushstrokes. He often interprets one and the same motif in ever new variations ( see for example the exhibition catalog below ). The autodidact paints with oil on canvas, to which he is said to have a special connection.

His exhibitions are primarily in Denmark and on the Faroe Islands, but in 2004 he also exhibited in Schleswig .

In addition, Øssur Mohr is chairman of Fuglafjørður's swimming club, Fuglafjarðar Svimjifelag . His son Jákup was voted Faroese Swimmer of the Year 2004.
