The Úřad pro zahraniční styky a informace ( ÚZSI ; German Office for Foreign Relations and Information ) is the civilian Czech foreign intelligence service that was newly formed in 1993 . From 1990 to 1993 the ÚZSI was already an institution of the federal Czechoslovakia , which was rebuilt after the dissolution of the communist secret service StB . The ÚSZI is subordinate to the Czech Ministry of the Interior and is based in Kobylisy in the Prague 8 district .

The domestic secret service, which is also under the Ministry of the Interior, is called Bezpečnostní informační služba (BIS).
