Prague 8 is an administrative district and a district of the Czech capital Prague . The district is in the north of the city.
structure
The Prague 8 administrative district comprises the districts of Prague 8 (2182 ha), Ďáblice (721 ha), Dolní Chabry (499 ha) and Březiněves (338 ha).
The Prague 8 district in turn includes the cadastral municipalities of Bohnice , Kobylisy , Čimice and Karlín completely, most of Libeň , the northern part of Troy , about half of Střížkov and a small part of Prague New Town and Žižkov .
history
Libeň has been part of the capital Prague since 1901 as District Prague VIII . Karlín, Bohnice, Troja and Kobylisy came to the Prague urban area in 1922. From 1949 the Prague 8 district existed roughly in its current form. In 1960 Čimice was incorporated, in 1968 Ďáblice and Dolní Chabry and 1974 Březiněves.
