Dolní Chabry (German Unter Habern ) is a district and a cadastral municipality on the northern edge of the Czech capital Prague . The cadastral municipality includes the entire former village of Chabry , including the Horní Chabry settlement ( Ober Habern ).

Dolní Chabry borders within the Prague urban area with Čimice in the west, Kobylisy in the south and Ďáblice and Březiněves in the east. In the north, the district borders on the municipality of Zdiby .
history
Chabry was first mentioned in 1092 as "ves Chrabercych" in a deed of donation from Prince Konrad I to the Ostrov monastery . Around 1100 the Romanesque rotunda , which is now part of the church, was built in place of an older church . In the 13th century Chabry belonged to the Strahov Monastery . From the 16th century, a distinction is made between Dolní and Horní Chabry . The Swedes devastated the settlement during the Thirty Years' War . In the 18th century Chabry was part of the New Town of Prague .
In 1968 Dolní Chabry was incorporated into the 8th district of Prague.
