Administrative districts in Prague
The Czech capital Prague forms its own Kraj . It is divided into 22 administrative districts .
In total, Prague consists of 10 districts, 57 districts and 146 districts. The number of cadastral municipalities is 112. There are 901 settlement units of various types in the urban area of Prague .
Historical administrative structure (until 1947)
- (I) Old Town ( Staré Město ): part of Prague since 1784 , now Prague 1
- (II) New Town ( Nové Město ): part of Prague since 1784 , now divided between Prague 1 and Prague 2
- (III) Lesser Town ( Malá Strana ): part of Prague since 1784 , now divided between Prague 1 and Prague 5
- (IV) Hradschin (older also Castle Town), ( Hradčany ): part of Prague since 1784 , now divided between Prague 1 and Prague 6
- (V) Josefstadt ( Josefov ): part of Prague since 1850 , now Prague 1
- (VI) Vyšehrad (Wyschehrad, older also stronghold): since 1883 part of Prague , now Prague 2
- (VII) Bubny (Buben), Holešovice (Holleschowitz): districts of Prague since 1884 , now divided between Prague 1 and Prague 7
- (VIII) Libeň (love); District since 1901, Střížkov (Strischkau), Kobylisy (Kobilis), Troja , Bohnice (Bochnitz): districts of Prague since 1922 , now divided between Prague 7, Prague 8 and Prague 9
- (IX) Vysočany (Wissotschan), Prosek (Prossek), Hloubětín (Tiefenbach): districts of Prague since 1922 , now divided between Prague 3, Prague 9, Prague 10 and Prague 14
- (X) Karlín ( Karolinenthal ): part of Prague since 1922 , now Prague 8
