Strašnice (German Straschnitz ) is a cadastral municipality in the Czech capital Prague . Most of it belongs to the Prague 10 district , only a small area in the north belongs to Prague 3 .
Strašnice is a stop on the railway line 221 to Benešov . The three stations Strašnická , Skalka and Depo Hostivař on metro line A are located in the cadastral area .
Attractions
- The Strašnice crematorium is the largest of its kind in Europe.
- The Church of the Immaculate Conception of Mary from 1994 has a characteristic triangular roof.
- Ludwig Grünberger , Wilhelm Elsner , the married couple Johanna Buska and Angelo Neuman and Hugo Rex are buried in the Protestant cemetery .
- The Strašnické divadlo and Divadlo Miriam small theaters are located in Strašnice .
