Strašnická is a metro station on Prague Metro Line A in Strašnice ( Prague 10 ). The subway station opened on July 11, 1987, and its construction cost 241.4 million crowns. The station is located 7.5 m under Starostrašnická Street.

There is only one entrance at the southern end of the station. A staircase leads from a small entrance hall with a newspaper kiosk to the platform. There is a small inclined elevator with an open platform for the disabled . There are no escalators or elevators.

The interior of the station is tiled with dark brown tiles. Originally it was planned to build an access at the northern end as well. For this, however, buildings would have had to be demolished, which did not happen. Nevertheless, a staircase was built at the northern end of the station, which is currently locked with a chain and leads nowhere. It may be possible to use this access at a later date.

In the tunnel behind the station there are two sidings out of town in the direction of Skalka.
