history

Černošice was first mentioned in the course of the establishment of the Insula monastery in 999. The oldest documentary evidence from 1115 shows that Horní Černošice was owned by the Kladruby monastery . From 1239 the place was owned by the later Prague bishop Johann III. In 1268 King Ottokar II Přemysl bought the place. His son Wenceslaus II donated Černošice to the monastery Königsaal in 1292 . From 1304 there was the first subdivision into the places Malý and Velký Černošice, from 1350 these villages were referred to as Horní and Dolní Černošice. After the conquest of the monastery by the Hussites in 1422 Pešík Předbor von Radešín took possession of the village. Subsequently, the owners changed frequently and in 1455 the monastery bought the property back from Jan Krský of Nasetice. During the Thirty Years' War the place was devastated by the Swedes in 1639 and deserted by epidemics and emigration.

Černošice remained the property of the monastery until the monastery was dissolved in the course of the Josephine reforms in 1785. In 1825, Prince Friedrich von Oettingen-Wallerstein bought the rule of the Königsaal from the religious fund. After the abolition of patrimonial Horní and Dolní Černošice formed parishes in the Smíchov district from 1850, and from the 1930s they belonged to the Praha-venkov / Prague-Land district. In 1910 the Náchod textile entrepreneur Cyril Bartoň-Dobenín bought the property . The Bartoň-Dobenín family was expropriated in 1948 after the Communists came to power. 1950 the unification of the communities Horní and Dolní Černošice and Dolní Mokropsy to one municipality Černošice, which in 1969 was raised to town. In 1974 Černošice was incorporated into Prague and became part of the Praha 5-Lipence district. The town of Černošice has existed again since 1992, the former district of Dolní Černošice remained near Prague.
