history

Archaeological finds prove a settlement of the place since the 11th century. The village was first mentioned in writing in 1227, when King Přemysl Ottokar I of the Chapel of St. Wenceslas in St. Vitus Cathedral confirmed that he owned 19 acres of land in Omeclas . Further confirmations of ownership were made in 1284 by Wenceslaus II and in 1359 by Charles IV.

Vonoklasy originally consisted of two feudal farms, which belonged to the Karlsteiner fiefs after the construction of Karlstein Castle , and a free allodial courtyard. Later the village was expanded, the new farmsteads were mostly on Königsaaler and Dobřichowitz land. At the beginning of the 17th century there was a festival in Vonoklasy. Until 1630, the Vonoklasy estate also included the village of Solopisky, when the Cistercian monastery Königsaal bought it. In 1638 and 1648 the village was devastated and sacked by Swedish troops. The first news about a mill comes from 1661.

In the 18th century a two-story baroque castle with a St. Chapel dedicated to Wenceslas. In 1741, French troops sacked the village. The stately brewery was founded in 1745. After the abolition of the Königsaal monastery in the course of the Josephine reforms , Solopisky returned to the Vonoklasy estate in 1785. In 1820 Christian von Wimpfen acquired the estate and in 1830 he sold it to Schiffner and Göttmann. From these, Franz Hanka acquired the estate in 1835, after his death in 1843 his son Franz Karl Hanka inherited the property.

In 1846, the Wonoklas estate in the Berauner district comprised a usable area of 149 yokes 1410 square fathoms. 531 people lived on the estate, including 18 Jewish families. The authorities managed a farm in Wonoklas, operated several limestone quarries and a lime kiln. Agriculture was the main source of food. The villages Wonoklas and Solopisk ( Solopisky ) belonged to the estate . The village of Wonoklas consisted of 46 houses. Of these, 19 houses with 288 inhabitants, including 18 Jewish families, belonged to the Wonoklas estate, 17 to the Königsaal rulership and ten houses to the Dobřichowitz estate . In the village there was an authoritarian castle with a house chapel, an authoritarian Meierhof, an authoritarian brewery with an adjoining inn and a mill. The parish was Dobřichowitz. Until the middle of the 19th century, Wonoklas was divided into three parts between the local estate, the rule of the Königsaal and the Dobřichowitz estate.

After the abolition of patrimonial Vonoklasy / Wonoklas formed from 1850 with the districts Kuchařík and Roblín a municipality in the judicial district of Zbraslav . The brewery burned down in 1860 and was not rebuilt. In the second half of the 19th century the castle also went out, at the turn of the century only one torso was left. From 1868 Vonoklasy belonged to the Smichow district . At the 1911 census there were almost 700 people in the community. Kuchařík and Roblín broke up in 1921 and formed their own community. In 1927 Vonoklasy was assigned to the Okres Praha-venkov. In 1932, 390 people lived in Vonoklasy. In 1942 the municipality became part of the Okres Praha-venkov-jih.
