Hostivice (German Hostiwitz ) is a city west of Prague in the Czech Republic . The area of the city is 14.60 km².
geography
Hostivice is located on the Rychlostní silnice 6 / European route 48 to Karlovy Vary and is directly adjacent to Prague Airport . The town is located at the confluence of the Jenečský potok in the Litovický potok .
history
The first written mention of the place comes from the year 1277. The town charter has existed since 1978.
Attractions
The baroque castle from 1689 to 1697 is one of the city's sights. It was restored between 1977 and 1983.
