Jaroslav Bouček (born November 13, 1912 in Černošice , † October 10, 1987 in Prague ) was a Czechoslovak football player .

Club career

Bouček played for SK Černošice in his youth. His first professional station was Sparta Prague . In 1931 the midfielder went to France and joined Stade Rennes . After 45 games and two goals in two years, the Czech returned to Prague for the 1933/34 season. With Sparta the strong headed Bouček, who mostly performed defensive duties in the central midfield, became national champions in 1936, 1938 and 1939. In the 1934/35 season he won the Mitropapokal with his club .

For the 1941/42 season Bouček moved to Viktoria Plzen , but rose with the team from the top division. Later he played again for his former youth club in Černošice .

National team

Bouček played his first international match in the run-up to the 1934 World Cup on March 25, 1934 in Paris against France , Czechoslovakia won 2-1. Although the midfielder was in the CSR squad for the World Cup in Italy , he was not used there. His teammates only had to admit defeat to hosts Italy 1: 2 after extra time in the final. After the World Cup, Bouček was rarely absent from the Czechoslovak national team. On February 9, 1936, he scored his only international goal in a 3-0 win over France in Paris. At the 1938 World Cup , when Czechoslovakia was eliminated in the quarter-finals against Brazil , Bouček was used three times. His international career was ended by the political events that led to the establishment of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia in 1939 .

In 1936 Bouček ventured into the film business and worked as an actor in the sports comedy Naše XI. directed by Václav Binovec with.
