Lipence (German Lipenetz ) is a district and a cadastral municipality on the southwestern edge of the Czech capital Prague .

location

Lipence is located on the right bank of the Berounka , which separates the Prague urban area from the suburb of Černošice on the left bank . In the south, Lipence borders on the municipality of Jíloviště . Neighboring districts are Zbraslav in the east and Radotín in the north.

history

Lipence was originally owned by the Ostrov Monastery . The first written mention comes from 1268, when the place had already passed into the possession of the Prague bishop. In 1292 King Wenceslaus II donated the land to the newly founded Zbraslav Monastery . In 1974 Lipence was incorporated into Prague.
