history
Újezd nad Lesy passed under the name Viesd in 1309 from the property of a Vítek ze Švábenic to the Zderaz monastery . The document is the first written mention of the place. In 1395 the royal mintmaster of Kutná Hora , Martin Rotlev, bought the place. In 1645, towards the end of the Thirty Years War , Újezd was burned down by Swedish soldiers. The place remained uninhabited for a long time until Alois I Joseph von Liechtenstein gave land to ten German families who settled here in 1783. The place was administratively attached to Koloděje .
In 1921 Újezd became an independent municipality. In 1974 the municipality was annexed to Prague.
