Alois I. Joseph von Liechtenstein (born May 14, 1759 in Vienna ; † March 24, 1805 there ) was the 9th ruling Prince of Liechtenstein from 1781 to 1805.

biography

He succeeded his father Franz Josef I as prince and ruling lord of the House of Liechtenstein after his death on August 18, 1781.

After his death, his younger brother Johann I Josef followed him as Prince of Liechtenstein. His grave is in the crypt of the House of Liechtenstein in Vranov (Moravia).

family

On November 16, 1783, Alois married Karoline Engelberte Felicitas zu Manderscheid-Blankenheim , a daughter of Count Johann Wilhelm zu Manderscheid-Blankenheim. The marriage remained childless.
