Lochkov (German Lochkow ) is a district and a cadastral municipality in the southwest of the Czech capital Prague . Lochkov was originally an independent municipality and was incorporated into Prague in 1974. Since 2001 it falls under the Prague 16 administrative district . The district borders on Slivenec in the north, Velká Chuchle in the east and Radotín in the south-west .

The first written mention of the place comes from the year 1399. The district has a rural character to this day.

Lochkov is located in a valley basin in the limestone of which numerous fossils are embedded. The geological age Lochkovium is named after the place. Lochkov's coat of arms shows three fossilized cephalopods.
