Přední Kopanina is a district and a cadastral municipality on the north-western edge of the Czech capital Prague and belongs to the 6th administrative district .
The place Přední Kopanina was first mentioned in a document from 1285, in which the Prague monastery of St. George sold a vineyard under the Petřín to the Plasy monastery .
In 1974 Přední Kopanina was incorporated into Prague as part of the 6th district, since 1990 it has been a separate district.
