Křeslice (German Kscheslitz ) is a cadastral municipality and a district ( Praha-Křeslice ) on the southeastern edge of the Czech capital Prague in the administrative district Prague 11 . A large part of the area belongs to the Botič – Milíčov Nature Park .

history

The first written mention of Křeslice comes from the reign of the Bohemian King John of Luxembourg in the 14th century. The place was originally divided into two parts. Horní ("Upper") Křeslice belonged to the rule of Pruhonitz and Dolní ("Lower") Křeslice was in ecclesiastical possession. Dolní Křeslice also went to secular rule in the 18th century, which united the two parts. In 1850 Křeslice became part of the neighboring municipality of Újezd , in 1922 an independent municipality. In 1974 it was incorporated into Prague.

Attractions

  • Štít farm, it was created around 1822 after the renovation of a fortress built in the 15th century. It has been protected as a cultural monument since 1958.
