Fleischmann & Bloedel was an internationally active doll manufacturer founded in the 19th century with headquarters in Fürth , Sonneberg , Paris and London .

history

The company was founded in 1873 by Salomon Fleischmann and Jean Bloedel . As an important supplier for the market in France , various walking, talking, nodding and kissing dolls were factory-produced.

For identification of the extensive product range, the company made in 1890 initially the trademark Eden Doll Enter the 1898 Bébé Triomphe followed. The marks EDEN BEBE and Eden-Bébé were also used.

As a supplier, the porcelain manufacturer Simon & Halbig produced doll heads from biscuit porcelain for Fleischmann & Bloedel, which were expressly intended for the French market and were marked DEP on the head .

Due to its great success in France, Fleischmann & Bloedel was one of the founding members of the Société Française de Fabrication de Bébés et Jouets (SFBJ) there in 1899.

After Joseph Berlin took over the German division of Bloedel & Fleischmann, Joseph Berlin expanded production to include toys made of plush and felt , but also to the manufacture of character dolls . Joseph Berlin registered the Michu trademark in 1914 .

The company closed in 1926.
